Important: this is not financial advice
RunwayCalc is an educational tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Every number produced by a calculator is an estimate based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions baked into the formula. Please verify every number with a qualified financial advisor, chartered accountant or SEBI registered investment advisor before making any real money decision.
I am not a SEBI registered investment advisor. I do not know your full financial situation, your goals or your risk tolerance. Use the calculators to learn and to model scenarios, but do not treat their output as a recommendation.
This is not a company
RunwayCalc is not a company, not a startup and not a registered business. It is a personal project built and maintained by one individual in their spare time. There is no team, no office, no investors and no commercial agenda. The site exists because I wanted accurate Indian financial calculators for myself and decided to make them available to anyone else who needs them.
Because this is a one person side project, expect occasional delays in updates and replies. I do my best to keep slabs and rates current, but I cannot promise the same response time a funded business could.
The mission
Money decisions in India are deeply personal. A home loan tenure decides whether you sleep at night for two decades. A regime choice on a tax return moves real money from your pocket. A withdrawal rule sets the difference between a comfortable retirement and a stressful one. Everyone making those decisions deserves accurate, transparent calculators that respect their time and their intelligence.
Every calculator on the site is free, no signup is required, and the formulae are written down on the same page so you can verify them yourself. Then take those numbers to a qualified advisor who knows your full picture.
What makes the site different
Most calculators on the Indian web were last touched five years ago. Slabs change, surcharge bands shift, EPF rates get re-notified each year, and the tools online quietly drift out of date. RunwayCalc tries to stay current. The income tax engine carries both FY 2024 to 2025 and FY 2025 to 2026 configurations side by side so you can see what changed in Budget 2025 with one click.
I also draw a hard line between numbers and opinions. The calculators give you the maths. There is no nudge toward a credit card, a particular fund house or an insurance plan. Open the calculator, change the inputs that match your situation, and then talk to a qualified advisor before acting.
How the numbers are built
Each formula module is a pure TypeScript function with no network call, no hidden dependency and no surprise side effect. Every calculation runs locally in your browser in milliseconds. The slab tables, surcharge bands, cess rates, standard deduction amounts and 87A rebate thresholds all sit in a single configuration file that lists the source. When the law changes, that one file is the only thing I update. Every calculator inherits the change automatically.
Charts are rendered with Chart.js so the data you see is the data the calculator computed. There is no smoothing, no rounding for visual reasons, and no hand wave. Even so, please cross check the output against an authoritative source or a qualified professional before relying on it.
Get in touch
If you spot a number that looks wrong, a slab that has been updated by a recent budget, or a calculator you wish existed, write to poornaprakashsr@gmail.com. I read every email and ship fixes when I can. Please do not send personal financial documents.
What this site will never do
It will not pretend a market projection is a guarantee. It will not run a calculator that quietly assumes a fee you cannot see. It will not build features that exist to harvest leads. It will not change a default to favour a specific product category. And it will never replace a conversation with a qualified financial advisor.
